La Star-Spangled Banner y Gasolina

Ok first of all I want to say the actual song they are talking about is terrible. I mean I don't know why I need to hear about how much Pitbull loves America, I think his Miami mansion lets me know that. But I love how the issue is not how bad the song is, but the fact there is a Spanish national anthem at all. Now while all these people fight other's cultures while cleaning their shotgun, chew on their tobaccy, and warm up their pick-ups they need to realize something; there are people in this country who do love America and just do not speak English. Now I will be the first to get angry when I walk into a store or try to talk to someone and they do not speak English, but that does not mean I don't want them in America. I just think if everyone lives in a country they should all speak the same language to aid communication. Now I do not understand what is lost by singing a song in Spanish, especially since most of the song doesn't rhyme. They have a French Canadian anthem because, surprise, they have a large French speaking population. So as long as someone supports America what difference does it make if it is en Espanol so the 20+ million natural Spanish speakers can sing the National Anthem, just as long as it is not Pitbull who is singing it.

Also does anyone else find it strange that oil companies are all hitting high profits, and Bush is looking else where for answers. So if we were paying 10 dollars a gallon for milk, and dairy farmers were driving around in Jaguars we wouldn't ask them to lower prices...(oh wait we wouldn't if they were supporting our party financially, and the public has no say over what they have to pay when a group of companies keep prices high as long as they keep contributions high too, got it.) I mean this goes beyond screwing the public for a few cents, this is seriously affecting people's lives and it is ridiculous. I have heard of doing everything from putting less oil in the reserves, to 100 dollar rebates (or a one free tank of gas voucher whichever is worth more, which for some cars the voucher is), to running cars with hamsters on wheels. Bush has even appointed himself energy czar and is overseeing the improvement of gas mileage and alternative fuels, which is like asking Ricky Williams to oversee your stash. The best was his request of the oil companies to reinvest their money rather than lower prices. Hmmm hoping the rich reinvest their money into the community and hope it...what's the word...oh trickles down to the public, I guess we've never tried that before though cough Reaganomics cough.
