Pat Robertson is a bigot

Again Pat Robertson, the host of the 700 club, makes news by saying that God would not help them because the town according to him rejected God. This is after he said Orlando would be destroyed in 1998 because they had rainbow flags in the city and New Orleans was destroyed because the Emmys picked Ellen to be host, a native of the Louisiana city. Now I am not here to debate the existence of God or religion or anything like that, but this guy has to get his priorities straight. If God does exist do you think he would really kill 1,500 people and make thousands upon thousands of people homeless because a homosexual hosted an awards show. Parents and censors get angry when someone says crap, but when this guy is a bigot and discriminates against entire races, sexual orientations and ethnicities no one says a thing. He hides behind his religion to make outrageous and offensive statements, and no one says a thing because he says it in the name of religion. Conservatives in general do this, but right now he seems to be the most ridiculous. He has also called for the liberal president of Venezuela to be killed, now maybe I haven't been to church in a while but isn't calling for the death of someone Unchristian-like let alone horrible on a moral level. Hugo Chavez is a huge critic of Bush, so clearly he deserves to die, because that's how conservatives work. The town that was condemned is Dover, PA and you may be wondering "hey what did they do" and you probably think they aborted a baby and then ate it or had premarital sex while eating meat on a Friday during lent. Well actually they voted out eight school board members because they attempted to introduce "intelligent design", and we all have learned God hates democracy. But I really don't understand how you are allowed to teach that God had a hand in creating earth. First of all we live in America and there is a separation of Church and State, so conservatives get over it you can't choose to follow some laws and not follow others. Secondly why don't you get your head out of your ass and realize that the odds of what happened during the big bang are like one in gagillion, but that is what makes it so amazing. We have to teach our children the pure scientific methods of what happened in history, and not what some people believe. Intelligent design is not scientific fact and I don;t want my tax money to go to teach kids who may or may not be Christian about intelligent design, that is what Sunday school is for so use your own time and money to teach it. Also anyone over the age of 6 can figure out intelligent design in about thirty seconds, so don't waste time explaining something so ridiculously simple.

But I digress, Pat Robertson is one of the biggest pieces of shit on earth and I am embarrassed as a student of Christianity and as an American that he represents me. I can't see a nipple on TV, but I can hear about how homosexuals and Muslims are ruining the world, makes sense to me.

The whole Pat Robertson thing is a big story, but in like a "oh there he goes again!" way. I'd like to hope it's because everyone thinks he's a crackpot, but unfortunately I think plenty of people just agree with him. Howard Stern railed against him, but of course Howard Stern is evil so no one can listen to him.
