Back and Bitter
So I decided to write my first blog in almost a month and guess what I'm bitter. At what you may ask (and by you I mean my sister the only person who reads this and maybe my roommate), I'm bitter at this whole Katrina mess. First off FEMA and the government in general fucks up, it takes them four days to get help down there. Now I have never been without food and water after losing everything while stadning in filth but I could imagine it being horrible, but the people of New Orleans had to do it for at least four days and often more than a week. Basically it took FEMA too long and when they did start doing anything they did too little. Some people believe it was because FEMA is now part of homeland security, but they still fucked up. They had a guy running who lied on his resume, but got the job because he is Bush's buddy. Now you would think fucking up this badly would get you fired....well this is America so he got promoted. Yeah I wrote a pro- instead of a de- he got a better job for fucking with thousands of people's lives. Luckily he had the sense to resign. So as time went on the Bush administration continued to mess up....not getting troops together fast enough, not having enough National Guard troops because many of them are in Iraq (thank god we're fighting that war), bills with money and relief not getting to people fast enough. Now it is a little suspect that these people are most poor and black, but racism is an issue I do not feel like getting into but I wanted to throw it out there. Last night I saw our president whose approval rating is a solid 41% which makes him the NHL of presidents, lie through his teeth and tell us every thing is going to be alright etc. Now this whole time there has been people who were worried about the spending, but this is a time where our own people have lost everything including family members the last thing we should be worried about is spending. If I have to spend 3.25 for a gallon a gas, and they are not going to lower taxes or do anything about the price of gas I want my tax money to go to my fellow citizens in their time of need. These are the same people who decided to spend more money on Iraq then add support to levees in New Orleans, you fucked up by spending money on a useless war instead of making your citizens safe, you fix it. God Bless America.

People who read my blog probably read yours too. Also, 41% is relatively low for Bush's approval, but still not low enough. Interestingly, if you see it broken down by race, his approval is like 5% with black people and 65% with white. Also, not only do they not plan to do anything about gas, they have no idea where the money to pay for the relief is coming from, and Dems keep asking but Bush refuses to give any hint.
